Students can seek for consult about difficulties in life and study such as “issue of certificate” and “information on part-time school”. In order to give students more opportunities to use Japanese language, our staffs also use Japanese as much as possible to communicate with students.
A complete support system for higher education
In Waseda Keifuku language academy, it is thought that the
construction of the three pillars “self-discipline”, “strive to become stronger” and “self-confidence”
is the key of the path to the successful life.
We have developed our own “work-type academic
counseling” program with the aim of built up these three pillars across the academic counseling. As a
feature, students are told that ” Be the protagonist of the life”, “The personality of oneself being
made up by the accumulation of one’s judgment”, and “My life is created by myself” is the mutual
Japanese language activity that guides them to gain “awareness”. During work-type academic counseling,
not only by having interior dialogue, but also by gaining “awareness” through discussions and exchange
activities with others. These activities will be able to build “self-confidence” in the career
determined by oneself, and to become more aware of the “strive to become stronger” to understand one’s
strengths and reinforce weaknesses and connect to the “self-discipline” to continue make efforts and
make dreams come true. At Keifuku, faculty members with high leadership skills who also conduct
research on higher education will realize students desired career paths with strong support.

Job opportunity
In 2012, our school acquired the activity permission of the
foreign student out of the qualification from an Immigration
Bureau. The foreign student can in this way work part-time in prescribed time and a type of industry
freely. We introduce
the part-time job overtime of the class in cooperation with each company in our school.
