2022.10.03Tour of The National Diet Building
On September 26, students visited the National Diet Building for a social studies field trip.
We visited the plenary hall of the House of Councilors, where we could get a real feel for the political scene, and the Front Park, where we could look directly at the exterior of the building.
The National Diet is the highest organ of Japanese national authority. For this reason, the baggage was inspected at the entrance, and the building has a strict security system.
The tension in the building made us feel the weight of politics and the history of modern and contemporary times.
Although they may know it from pictures, few foreigners may really go and tour the inside.
We will continue to increase opportunities to visit representative spots in Japan.
