2025.10.03Tea Ceremony Experience
To help international students better understand traditional Japanese culture, our school organized a Tea Ceremony Experience for first-year students in September 2025 at the Toyama Lifelong Learning Center.
We invited a professional tea ceremony instructor to demonstrate and teach the fundamentals of the tea ceremony. Students learned about etiquette in Japanese tatami rooms, everyday manners in Japanese culture, and the basic knowledge of tea ceremony.
They also had the opportunity to make matcha themselves, enjoying the quiet concentration and beauty of this traditional practice. Many students found the experience both educational and enjoyable, deepening their appreciation for Japanese culture.
